Opened in 1996 St Cuthbert's Way is a 60-mile walk that has quickly gained a reputation as one of Britain's most enjoyable long-distance walks, following key historical sites that are closely connected with St Cuthbert and his life.

Although waymarked throughout with the St Cuthbert's Cross symbol, a reasonable level of fitness and navigational skill is needed especially in poor weather conditions.
