Shepherds Walks Holidays is a small, family-run business based right on St Oswald’s Way in Northumberland. We live here, we walk here, and we’ve built our holidays around the landscapes we know well.

The business began when Jon Monks, originally a hill shepherd, and his wife Jane decided to swap shepherding sheep for guiding people. What started as a few guided walks has grown into a carefully curated collection of walking holidays across the UK.

Shepherds Walks Holidays is an established local business providing guided, self guided and bespoke walking holidays. So what makes us so special? We draw on our own experience of the trails, our long-standing relationships with accommodation providers, and the detailed feedback we receive from guests. Routes are reviewed regularly, and we keep a close eye on the practical details that make a walking holiday run smoothly.
